Background
Target Background Rituximab (Rituxan) is a humanized monoclonal antibody that is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of hematological cancers and autoimmune diseases. When Rituximab binds to CD20 on the surface of normal and malignant B cells, natural killer (NK) cells is activated to destroy these B cells. It is therefore used to treat diseases with too many B cells, overactive B cells, or dysfunctional B cells. Anti-Rituximab Antibody (17B6), mAb, Mouse is produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of partner and B-lymphocytes obtained from a mouse immunized with Rituximab.
Synonyms Mouse monoclonal to Rituxan
