Specificity
Recognizes the formaldehyde conjugate of serotonin. Without paraformaldehyde treatment, it cross-reacts in liquid phase with dopamine and tryptamine in hemagglutination tests. Shows no reactivity with catecholamine-containing neurons in formaldehyde fixed preparations. MAB352 reacts with serotonin in neurons and recognizes serotonergic sites in fixed tissue sections. By cell agglutination, no cross reactivity with 5-hydroxyindolacetic acid, GABA, noradrenaline, 5-hydroxytryptophan, carnosine or melatonin.

Storage Conditions
Lyophilized antibody can be kept at 2-8°C for up to 3 months and should be kept at -20°C for long term storage. Reconstitute with 100µL sterile DI water. Maintain at -20*C in undiluted aliquots for up to 12 months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
