The flow breaker is used to prevent vortexing and to minimize air induction into the medium. It enables the dispersing instrument to be centrally placed into the vessel without the bearing system running dry. Through this system even small volumes can be dispersed and processed at a high speed. The flow breaker can be axially moved on the dispersing instrument, which enables an optimal alignment with the vessel.

The material PEEK was used to allow for sterilization (with all current methods) or a simple cleaning process in the dishwasher. The flow breaker has a very good chemical resistance and can be permanently used in temperatures up to 260 °C.
