Quality Bio Leibovitz L-15 Medium w/o L-Glutamine 500ml

Description

Most media are buffered by a combination of sodium bicarbonate and an atmosphere enriched in CO₂. The latter is usually provided through the use of a specially equipped incubator. L-15 was developed at a time when such equipment was not readily available. Dr. Leibovitz developed a buffering system based on free base amino acids, inorganic salts and the substitution of galactose for glucose.

Applications

L-15 has been used for the culture of Hep-2 monkey kidney and primary explants of embryonic and adult human tissue, and a variety of other cells. Many viruses have also been cultivated in this medium.
