Vector Biolabs High mobility group (HMG) proteins are non-histone DNA-binding proteins that induce alterations in the DNA architecture, including DNA bending and unwinding of the helix. Although HMG proteins may bind to single-stranded DNA, conformational changes are only induced in double-stranded DNA.
