Brew Plate™ Overview
The Brew Plate™ line offers testing kits and bulk media to help brewers detect common microbes responsible for contamination during brewing. Contaminated samples can be sent to the Brew Plate Laboratory for microbial identification.
Kits test 5 contamination points, and bulk sleeves contain 25 plates with media for yeast detection. All plates from the kits are available for bulk purchase, with free sequence identification included in each bulk sleeve order.
Yeast and Aerobic Bi-Plate Media
- Quadrant 1: Contains Chloramphenicol, an antibiotic that prevents bacterial growth, selecting for yeast growth.
- Quadrant 2: Contains Cycloheximide, an antifungal that prevents yeast growth, selecting for bacterial growth.
